The Wine

Aged in 50% new oak, the 2019 Partenaire is a blend of fruit from our Redside Vineyard and Freedom Hill. The palate displays the customary elegance and finesse we expect from Pinot noir grown on our estate, while the nose is more reminiscent of Freedom Hill. It opens with enveloping aromas of blackberry and Damson plum followed by a top note of sassafras, cardamom and clove. Juicy and seamless, it expands across the palate with red and black fruit wrapped in gentle, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and precise, leaving behind a lingering suggestion of spice.

The Winery

Founded in 1987, Lange Estate is a family–owned and operated winery that has established itself as a top producer of Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot gris in the prestigious Dundee Hills appellation of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The estate is divided into three sustainably farmed vineyards that span over 60 acres. The property boasts a state-of-the-art winery and hospitality center that features spectacular panoramic views of gently sloping, east-facing vineyards, surrounding valleys and snow-capped Mount Hood in the distance. This destination winery has grown over the past thirty years to become an icon in the region.
