The Wine

Earthy and spice-driven upon first approach, this wine has notes of blackberry and cherry cordial that give way to vanilla bean, black tea and candied citrus peel. Without sacrificing nuance or elegance, tannins are dense and persistent, creating serious depth, presence and length. There is a fresh backbone to this wine that helps bring the structure into balance and complements the vibrant fruit and spice. Concentrated black cherry, blackcurrant and anise round out the palate on this beautiful wine that finishes with a lifted, warm glow.

The Winery

Founded in 1999 by the Duncan Family of Silver Oak, Twomey combines experience and a sense of curiosity with the exploration of unique vineyards for its wines—made to be savored with family and friends. Twomey pursues and sustainably farms vineyards from the Central Coast of California to the Willamette Valley in Oregon that reveal a distinctive character and produce balanced, site-driven wines.
